Hi, I’m John Gardner. I’m Arconix Computers, and I’m a longtime techie and website designer from Rhode Island.
My journey begins with my family’s first computer, a Tandy that was picked up sometime during the early to mid 90’s, a time when PC’s were just starting to come into the mainstream. Eventually we upgraded to a Windows PC and I got a copy of Microsoft FrontPage 98, one of the first commercial pieces of software designed to help speed up web development. Prior to that I was writing the code by hand in Notepad. I’ve been designing websites and building/tinkering with PC’s ever since, initially to the detriment, and eventually to the benefit of family and friends.
What’s in a Name?
Nerd Alert! During my middle school and early high school years, Magic the Gathering was wildly popular in and around my circle of friends. At some point I acquired a rare card called Vexing Arcanix, which became a constant thorn in my opponents’ sides. Something about Arcanix just stuck with me, and it kind of morphed into Arconix. When I decided to make web design and tech support more than just a hobby, the name stuck.
Experience and Knowledge
With years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to draw upon, I understand the balance between providing what a client wants, and advising them on what makes the most sense. I’m passionate about helping my clients achieve their goals by delivering quality and excellence with each project. My ultimate goal is to see clients that are both happy and self-sufficient, but I’m never more than a phone call or e-mail away should the need for assistance arise.
Now that you know a little about me, why don’t you let me get to know a little about you? If you’re in the market for a talented, no-nonsense individual and don’t mind saving some money by hiring a freelancer, get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
